Now that I’m settled in Spain and Sevilla is home, I have time to explore concepts floating around in my head for a while. Starting early 2023 I’ve begun a several new series that I’m very excited about! The first focuses on male dancers captured mid motion, executed very spontaneously without me interjecting any desire for certain poses. At times I keep the camera stationary and let their bodies move in and out of frame with me taking photos when I see something captivating. The second I am currently calling ‘Weightless’ which takes the dancer series one step further to include a small amount of digital manipulation to distort the orientation of the scene and transform my studio floor into unique geometric shapes. And finally ‘Bodyscapes’, which is me exploring the male form in small segments. Often illuminated by small LED lights I sculpt their bodies creating dreamy landscapes.
